a short story about buying earphones

sony mdr e818:

   frequence response:  12 hz - 22 khz
sound pressure level: 108 dB (1 khz, 1Vrms)
3,5 mm L type stereo jack
   cable lenght: 1 m
   empedance: 16 ohm

sony mdr e818 is one of the best model according to price / performans ratio. it's sold about 20 tl ( ~ 13$ ). last week my sony mdr e818 earphones finally had broken down after 2 years. great timing, really... it drives me crazy that breaking down the stuff i use almost every day when i am penniless. i guess that's called murhpy rules. i listen music when i go to school that makes me awake and makes the long long school way shorter. i tried to use that earphones for a few days more but i can't stand after 2 days and decided to buy new earphones. you know music is a serious matter so i started to deep research for a new one.

actually i want to buy that new tech in-ear headphones for a long time. you know they are noise-proof and that feature is highly effective if you use public transportation. also i wonder about sennheiser. some sennheiser models like ie 7 are very expensive and that why i wonder about sennheiser what's the difference? i know technical details and it's kinda part of my job but what's the difference praticly? anyway like i said before i am penniless so sennheiser ie7 is a dream at the moment instead of ie7, sennheiser cx 300 seems more suitable for me.

sennheiser cx 300:

   frequence response: 18 hz - 21 khz
   sound pressure level: 112 dB (1khz, 1Vrms)
3,5 mm L type stereo jack
   cable lenght: 1 m
asymmetrical cable: left: l70 mm, right: 510 mm
   empedance: 16 ohm

i've researched and found one. after i've learned that asymmetrical cable thing cx 300 was eleminated coz i don't like asymmetrical cable. right earphone always falls down because of the cable weight. and the second reason is it's price. it's 15 tl ( ~10$ ) in a local store but normally its price is about 50 tl ( ~35$ ) i doubt about its authenticity and gave up to buy it.

then i went to another tech store after about an hour i decreased the options to three. sony mdr e818, sennheiser mx 360 and creative ep 430. it's too diffcult to buy earphones because each earphones made for specific genres and if you want to buy new earphones you've never tested before it takes hours to decide. after 30 painful minutes i decided to take risk and bought creative ep 430 for 30 tl ( ~20$ ).

creative ep 430:

driver units: 10 mm neodiymium drivers
   frequency response: 10 hz - 22 khz
sound pressure level: 103 dB (1 khz, 1 Vrms)
   empedance: 16 ohm
cable lenght: 1,2 m stainless copper
3,5 mm l type gold plated stereo jack

i've been using it since friday. its noise-proofness really good. you can't hear voices when they are on your ears but not suitable for indoor using coz increasing amplitude of the sound causes brimming over and that may distrub other people around you other thing is it has power bass bla bla thing. if you listen rock, alternative rock, electronic or pop or similar genres of music and if your mp3 player's equalizer is not optimized you highly hear drums from hi-hat to cross but if you listen mostly um-pah (club, trance etc.) this stuff is for you. and there is 'burn in' period. that means earphones performance will be higher after every using. i am pleased to use ep 430 after eq optimization. next days will show that if i made the right choice or not.
